Yetta Levitch Obituary (1920 - 2011)

Yetta (Baum) Levitch, 90, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011 at her home. Graveside services will be at 11:00am Monday, February 7, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Yetta was born November 20, 1920 in Warsaw, Poland, the daughter of Samuel and Helen (Browner) Baum. She came to Kansas City with her parents at the age of 6 months and lived in Kansas City until her death. Yetta was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom, its Sisterhood and was a former member of B’nai B’rith Women. She married William Levitch, who passed away in 1989. Yetta was also preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Rose Cohen and Mary Eisenberg; brothers-in-law and their spouses: Rueben and Josephine Levitch, Himmie and Margaret Levitch and David and Frances Brand Levitch. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Julius D. and Deborah Levitch, Las Vegas, NV and their children: Ashlee Levitch and Breean Levitch; daughter: Roberta Ann Fleider, Kansas City, MO and her daughter and son-in-law: Dawn Shira and Max Bachman and their children: Anabel Grace Bachman and Mayah Edan Bachman.
