Sylvia H. Ginsberg, 97, of Kansas City, MO, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 1, 2008. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Thursday, December 4, at The Louis
Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Avenue. Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Ginsberg was born July 28,1911 to Florence and Simon Hutterer. She was a long time member of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, China
Friendship Association, Jackson County Medical Auxiliary and the Shepards Center; Mrs. Ginsberg knitted baby hats for Truman Hospital’s premature babies. She was a former member of The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. Mrs. Ginsberg was married to Norman
A. Ginsberg in 1938. He preceded her in death in 1985. She was also preceded in death by her daughter: Susan Lisa Glass in 1985 and a sister, Jeanne Fisler. She is survived by her son: Thomas Ginsberg, Kansas City, MO; granddaughters: Amy D. Purcell, Columbia,
MO; Sarah E. Page, Salem, OR; 3 great-grandchildren; sister: Adele Wengrover, Kansas City, MO; Mrs. Ginsberg lost a daughter and her husband in the same year. However, she remained the strength of the family. She was the pillar for all of us.
