Stanley Katz

Stanley Katz, 95, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on January 21st, 2019 in Overland Park, Kansas.

Visitation will be from 11:00am-11:45am at 1901 Blue Ridge Blvd, the Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery Chapel, Friday, January 25th Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, January 25th in the chapel at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery, Independence, Missouri with burial to follow.

Born on April 7th, 1923, to Harry and Celia Katz, Stanley, the youngest of six siblings, went on to graduate from Westport High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1941. He served in the Army until 1945, where upon his return, he married Harriett Spector on March 17, 1946 in Kansas City. He worked as a Production Manager for Columbia Toy/Beloved Toy and a Director of Sales for U.S. Toy, Kansas City, Missouri.

Stanley is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Celia Katz, brothers I.G. and Joe Katz. Sisters Celia (Katz) Birnbaum, Rose (Katz) Belove and Dorothy (Katz) Koffman.

Stanley is survived by his beloved wife Harriett of 72 years, children Jeff Katz, Elliott Katz-wife Nancy Katz, Linda (Katz) Vanderwell-husband Dave Vanderwell. 7 Grandchildren and 7 great-Grandchildren.
