Scott Gary Phillips, 58, a longtime former resident of Kansas City passed away February 13, 2012 at his home. Graveside services 2:00pm Sunday, February 19, Mt. Carmel
Cemetery, Raytown, MO. The family asks that donations in Scott’s memory be made payable to The Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64131.
Scott was born December 20, 1953 in Forrest Hills, NY to Robert and Renee Phillips. He was a fun loving and comical man with a big heart. Scott was married to Trudy Phillips on August 9, 1974. He worked in the fence industry for most of his adult life and spent more than 27 years in Kansas City.
He was preceded in death by his father: Robert Phillips; and grandmother: Rose Abramowitz.
Scott is survived by his mother: Renee, Boca Raton, FL; sons and daughter-in-law: Scott Phillips II, Josiah and Amanda Phillips, all of Kansas City, MO, Robert Phillips, Kevin Phillips both of Independence, MO; brothers and sisters-in-law: Steven and Joyce Phillips, Seattle, WA, Sam and Rosanna Phillips, Pawling, NY; sisters: Marguerite Repola, Belton, MO, Sharon Phillips, Poughkeepsie, NY, Vicky Cooper, Wappengers Falls, NY; grandchildren: Blake, Isaiah, Arden, Serra, Riley, Charles and Parker Phillips; former wife: Trudy Phillips, Gladstone, MO.
