Sara Kantor

Sara Kantor, (born Sara Kusnetzky), was born March 14, 1921 in Kansas City, MO and was a lifelong area resdent. She passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 after an extended illness. Graveside services will be at 11:30am Sunday, October 16 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society. Sara attended Westport High School in Kansas City, MO. She married Gordon Kantor on October 19, 1941, and stayed married until his death in July, 2008. She enjoyed her many roles of wife, mother, business woman and friend. Sara was a lifelong member of Beth Shalom Synagogue and the Amician Club. She was preceded in death by her
husband of 66 years, Gordon Kantor and her sister, Rose Levitch. Sara leaves behind a son Michael of Overland Park, a daughter Anita of Shawnee, and son Mark and his wife
Gina of Marietta, GA, grandchildren Seth and his wife Dr. Adrienne Hedrick of Boulder, CO, Ben of Chicago, and Elizabeth of Seattle. She also leaves her brother, Leon Kusnetzky and his wife Carol of Leawood.
