Samuel (Sammie) Myron Gottlieb, 97 of Overland Park, Kansas passed away peacefully on July 3, 2021. Services will be at 1pm on July 6, 2021 at KI Blue Ridge Cemetery Chapel, 1901 Blue Ridge Blvd., Independence, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Jewish Family Services Food Pantry or a charity of one’s choice. Sammie was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Pearl Rosen Gottlieb; his parents, Louis and Mary (Kaplan) Gottlieb and his sisters: Goldene Rydell, and Esther Bitner. He was a life-time member of Kehilath Israel Synagogue. He is survived by his children; Sharon (Buddy) Levin, Jerrold (Gail) Gottlieb, Sandra Zelzer, and Jody (Dennis) Ervin; grandchildren; Scott (Debra) Levin, Amy (Robby) Young, Aaron (Amber) Gottlieb, Robyn Colvin (Mike), David (Becky) Gottlieb, Ellie Miller, Cara (Chad) Freed, Chad Bayzman, Bradley Cotlar, Andrew Cotlar and Alyson (Joseph) Dieker; great-grandchildren; Morgan (fiancé Angie Cochran), Nicole, and Zachary Young, Jordan Levin, Emily and Ezra Gottlieb, Macy Colvin, Parker Freed, Mattix, Easton, Taylor and Brianna Cotlar, and Thomas Dieker; great-great grandchildren; Khloe, Brayden, Hudson and numerous nieces and nephews.
