Rose Shapiro Katzeff Obituary (2007)

Rose Shapiro Katzeff, 93, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007 after a short illness. Funeral services will be 2:30pm Sunday, January 28, at The Louis Memorial Chapel. Burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests contributions to Beth Shalom Synagogue, Village Shalom or Kansas City Hospice. Mrs. Katzeff was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom and its Sisterhood, B’nai B’rith Women, a life member of Hadassah and volunteered in the Gift Shop at Beth Shalom. She was born in Kansas City and was a life long area resident. Mrs. Katzeff was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Joseph Katzeff; her brother, Ben Shapiro and a sister, Adele Daniels Walker. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Alice and Herb Stein, Overland Park, KS; Debbie and Steve Mack, Dallas, TX; sister: Sadie Davidoff, Dallas, TX; grandchildren: Eric and Kathy Stein, Wilmette, IL; Jennifer and Tom Goedeke, Chesterfield, MO; Adam Stein and Paula Mahayosnand-Stein, Jersey City, NJ; Jeremy Mack and fiancé Casey Cohn, Dallas, TX; Randy Mack, Boulder, CO and Bradley Mack, Dallas, TX; great-grandchildren: Jessica and Trace Goedeke, Chesterfield, MO; Zachary and Daniel Stein, Wilmette, IL; many nieces and nephews also survive. The family wishes to thank the staff at Village Shalom for their loving care and attention.
