Rose Mays, 99, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Friday, March 14, 2008. Funeral services will be 10:30am Monday, March 17, at The Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Ave. Burial at Sheffield Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests contributions to Beth Shalom Synagogue or a charity of one’s choice. Mrs. Mays was a member of the National Council of Jewish Women and Hadassah. She was born in Kansas City, MO, the last surviving child of Morris and Leah Friedman Flapan. Mrs. Mays was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Max, Joe, Ben and Jack Flapan; her sister: Tillie Morris; her husband of 35 years, Harry J. Mays, in 1967 and by her grandsons: Ben and Martin Jabenis in 2001. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Sandra and Larry Jabenis, Overland Park, KS.
