Rose Aron "Grandma Rosie" Obituary (1922 - 2011)

Rose Aron, 88, of Freeman, MO, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Crown Care Center in Harrisonville, MO. Graveside services will be at 9:00am Friday, July 1, 2011 in Beth El Cemetery, Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to a charity of one’s choice in Grandma Rosie’s honor. Grandma Rosie worked for over 20 years in a pediatrician’s office which reflected her love for children and in her desire to serve others. She attended the University of Iowa and was a graduate of the Southwest Preparatory School of Phoenix. Grandma Rosie was a former member of Temple Beth El in Cranford, NJ and was a member of the Women’s ORT and American Association of Medical Assistants. She loved the country, small town living, good cooking and family get togethers. Grandma Rosie was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Joseph Aron, on January 31, 1986. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Barbara and Russell Welsh, Freeman, MO; Shoshana Leah of California; sister: Sylvia Auerbach, New York, NY; 5 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Grandma Rosie will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
