Raymond Peltzman

Raymond Peltzman, 93, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Sunday December 2, 2007 at Menorah Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:30pm Monday, December 3, at The Louis Memorial Chapel. Burial at Sheffield Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Julius Peltzman Memorial Scholarship Fund at Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy, Village Shalom or Kehilath Israel Synagogue. Mr. Peltzman was an attorney in private practice from 1939 until his retirement. He had also been an assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri. Mr. Peltzman was a member of Kehilath Israel Synagogue and its Men’s Club. He received his L.L.B. from the Kansas City School of Law in 1938 and his BA in economics from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Mr. Peltzman was a past member of the Missouri Bar Association. He was born in Kansas City, MO and was a life long area resident. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp in WWII. Mr. Peltzman was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Berkson Peltzman, in 1995, brothers, Julius Peltzman, J. Lester Peltzman and a sister, Arline Agron. He is survived by his daughter: Rochelle B. Peltzman, Kansas City, MO; son: Jonathan D. Peltzman, Kansas City, MO; brother: Morton Peltzman, Pasadena, TX; sister: Geraldine Silvers, Roeland Park, KS; sisters-in-law: Dorothy and Selma Peltzman and 12 nieces and nephews.
