Queenie Romain Obituary (2005) - Overland Park, Kansas

Queenie Romain, 86, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Friday, September 30, 2005 at the St. Joseph Health Center. Graveside services will be 10:30am Sunday, October 2, in the Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Mrs. Romain was a member of The Kehilath Israel Synagogue, Hadassah. and O.R.T. Queenie has been a resident of the KC area since moving here from Miami, FL in 1985. Mrs. Romain was a homemaker, an excellent bridge player and an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Louis Romain, in 1998. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law: Michael and Liana Romain, Stillwell, KS; daughter & son-in-law: Candy and Mark McKim, Pontiac, Michigan; two grandsons: Ian Romain & Joshua Rafsky; three granddaughters: Alaesha (Troy) James, Jillian Weiner and Kylie Weiner; one great granddaughter: Tahlia James; two brothers and sister-in-law: Paul and Hannah Bach and Willie Bach; and sister: Sara Theise.
