PHYLLIS SUE WALSH Obituary (1942 - 2018)

On Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018, Phyllis Sue Walsh, loving mother and devoted friend passed away at the age of 76. Phyllis was born and lived all her life as a proud Kansas City native. She worked for and with City Hall, in Jefferson City for Senior Citizen legislation, on behalf of women and battered women’s shelters, and supported the well-being and aid of rescue animals. Phyllis loved Iris's, Yanni and Hawaii, had a gift for making any place feel like home, but was happiest going "junkin" and taking her family and friends out to eat or having them all gathered together for the holidays so that she could feed and spend time with every one of them. She was a compassionate, strong woman with a warm laugh and a giving heart. Phyllis was preceded in death by her father Sol, her mother Mary, and her brother Leland, sister Paula and sister Annie. She is survived by her daughter Angel and her husband Mike, her grandsons Shea, Brian and Robbie, her son Scott, his wife Amy and their daughter Payton. Services will be held at the chapel in Sheffield Cemetery, 6100 Wilson Road, Kansas City, MO 64123 on October 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a contribution to a charity on one's choice.
