Neora Swartz, 87, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be 1:30pm, Friday, November 14 in the chapel at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery, 1901 Blue Ridge Blvd., Independence, MO. Mrs. Swartz was born in St. Joseph, MO September 27, 1921. She moved with her family to the Kansas City area where she graduated Paseo High School. Mrs. Swartz was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph Katz and Hannah Passman; loving husband of 55 years, Milton Swartz in 1997; sister: Juliet Steinberg; grandson: Kiel Swartz. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Ritchie and Howard Kaye, Fairway, KS, Cynthia Ellis, Westwood Hills, KS, Arnie and Carol Swartz, Leawood, KS, Scott and Joan Swartz, Aurora, CO, and Mike and Maryann Swartz, Littleton, CO; grandchildren: Jill Barnes, Matt David, Jonathan Ellis, Elizabeth Wasserman, Joshua Ellis, Darah Swartz, Kaeli Swartz, Jennifer Palazola, Mack Swartz, Blair Swartz, Max Swartz, Sam Swartz and Stella Swartz; sister: Marian Bodker, Tulsa, OK; sister-in-law: Virginia Chaikin, Overland Park, KS; and 11 great-grandchildren. Her family was her life and she will be greatly missed by all.
