Miriam R. Cohen, 92, Overland Park, KS, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2006. Graveside services will be 1:00pm, Tuesday August 22 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Leon and Miriam Cohen Torah Fund at Beth Shalom Synagogue or a charity of the donor’s choice.Mrs. Cohen was a member of Beth Shalom Synagogue, its sisterhood and was a member of the Board of Directors. She was a life member of Hadassah, Brandeis University Women’s Committee, Shalom Plaza Auxiliary and Shalom Geriatric Auxiliary. She was also a member of both the Truman Medical Center and Children’s Mercy Hospital Auxiliaries. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Leon; brother: Abe Oshry; sister: Anna Mindell. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law:: Dr. Robert and Lynne Cohen, Leawood, KS; Dr. Justin and Mallory Cohen, Denver, CO; grandchildren: Sanford “Sandy” Cohen and his wife Stacy, Leawood, KS; Laura Cohen-Baron and her husband Jonathan Baron, Potomac, MD; Heather Cohen, Kansas City, MO; Joshua Cohen and his wife Sarah, Jerusalem, Israel; great- grandchildren: Taylor and Jamie Cohen; Sarah Charlotte Baron; Yehudah Cohen.
