Maury Irwin Citron Obituary (1917

Maury I. Citron, 94, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Villa St. Joseph in Overland Park, KS. Graveside services 1:00pm Friday, June 10 at Rose Hill Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. The family suggests contributions to The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah, 12320 Nall Ave., Overland Park, KS 66209, Della Lamb Community Services, 500 Woodland Ave., Kansas City, MO 64106 or a charity of the donor’s choice. Mr. Citron was born in Detroit, MI. After working for a time in the south he moved to the Kansas City area where he remained a longtime resident. He owned and operated Zeff-Citron Wholesale selling the business in 1975. He then worked at Ruback’s Jewelry until his retirement in 1992. He was a longtime member of The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. He enjoyed playing poker and going to the casinos. Mr. Citron was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mildred; son: Barry Citron. He is survived by daughter: Cheryl Citron, Prairie Village, KS; brother: Louis Citrin, Tamarac, FL; grandchildren: Craig Citron, Lori and Benjamin Blinn; great-grandchildren: Alex Citron, Josh Citron, Max Blinn, Lily Blinn and Zack Blinn; longtime companion: Ida Moore, of the home.
