MARTIN F. FELSEN Obituary (1933 - 2018)

Martin Frederick Felsen, 84 of Mission, KS died Monday March 19, 2018. Private family services were held. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the USO at secure.uso.org. Martin was born March 27, 1933 to the late Charles and Irene Felsen. He earned his PhD in Educational Administration & Supervision from Syracuse University. He married Anne Benensohn Felsen in 1959. He moved to Johnson County, KS after living in Birmingham, AL and for many years in Binghamton, NY. Martin enjoyed gardening, reading, and visiting museums and gardens in the area. He was very proud of the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Anne; his parents; his sons, Joshua and Michael and brother, Morris Felsen. He is survived by his children, Dave of Kansas City, MO, Wendy (Carl) Anderson of Fairfield, CT; his grandchildren, Stephanie and Lindsey Anderson; his brothers, Oscar and Harold (Lily) Felsen; close friends, Kim, Ken and Gavin Dowdy and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
