Marika Karbank Obituary (1936

Marika Karbank, 73, of Los Angeles, CA, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Graveside services will be 11:00am Friday, May 15, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests contributions to Beth Shalom Synagogue. Mrs. Karbank was born in Hungary in 1936 and came to the United States in 1956. While living in New York she worked as a dental assistant. After moving to California, she was in retail sales for the May Company. Mrs. Karbank was an avid reader and lived for her family. She had a good heart and loved her grandchildren. Mrs. Karbank is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Judith K. and Larry Parnes, Overland Park, KS; brother: Dr. Andrew Torok, Budapest, Hungary; former husband, Joe Karbank, Overland Park, KS and her grandchilddren: Brandon Parnes and Julia Parnes, both of Overland Park, KS.
