Prairie Village, Kansas

Margery Ann Greenberg, 68, of Prairie Village, KS., died Saturday after a courageous battle with breast cancer that lasted over 18 years. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 24, 2006, at the New Reform Temple, 7100 Main. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to either KU Medical Center or the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. Marge grew up in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Alvin and Sylvia Goldstein. She attended the University of Missouri, where she was a member of Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority. Marge was beloved by her family and countless friends. Her priorities in life were just that and her love and devotion to them were unsurpassed. Her boundless energy and enthusiasm were legendary and everyone she met was instantly drawn to her. She was the co-owner of 18K Jewelry and a licensed real estate agent with J.D. Reece. She devoted volunteer time to the Menorah Auxiliary, National Council of Jewish Women, the Brandeis University Book Fair, and the Stop Violence Coalition. Marge married Dick Greenberg in 1957, the one and only love of her life. The couple celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this past May in the company of their children, Lisa and Jim Klein and Steve Greenberg of Overland Park, Kansas, as well as the light of her life, her two grandchildren, Samantha and Jessica Klein. Marge is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, as well as her brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Barbara Goldstein of Houston, Texas.
