Lucille Hakan Rubin Obituary (2008) - Overland Park, Kansas

Lucille Hakan Rubin, 87, passed away at Carondelet Manor on Monday, February 18, 2008. Memorial services and entombment will be held on Thursday, February 21st, at 9:30am at the Rose Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. Kindly omit flowers; The family suggests contributions to Heartland Hospice or The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. She was born in Kansas City, MO on May 6, 1920, the daughter of Dr. Albert J. Hakan and Birdie Michelson Hakan. Lucille was a Veteran of World War II and served as a member of the WACS in Great Britain. Lucille worked in the insurance industry for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Rubin. Lucille is survived by her brothers: Dr. Melvyn J. Hakan and wife, Rowena of Overland Park, KS; Robert Hakan and wife, Terri of Tulsa, OK. Nephews: Brian P. Hakan and wife, Julie of Overland Park, KS; David M. Hakan and wife, Inga of Las Vegas, NV and Nieces: Jane Lazzareschi and husband, Brett of Santa Cruz, CA and Renee Mills and husband, Ronald of Lesotho, Africa. Her family wants to thank Dr. Steven Gruenebaum; Debbie, Diane and Sharon, who cared for her many years, and a very special thank you to the Heartland Hospice for their loving care.
