Lore Mallin Obituary (1927 - 2011) - Overland Park, Kansas

A life well lived ended on Monday, November 7, 2011. Lore Mallin was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Lore was born in Gemundedn AM Main on April 19th, 1927 in Germany to Irma and Leo Schild. She was very fortunate to arrive in America in 1938. Her loving husband Mel met her on a blind date in 1947 and they enjoyed a blessed sixty two years together. She was the proud mother of daughter Lisa Gibson, sons Larry and David and daughter-in-law Gail Mallin as well as grandmother to her beloved grandchildren Max and Jake Gibson, Natanya and Joshua Mallin. Lore was a past president of the Kehilath Israel Synagogue’s Sisterhood and for many years was active in the Jewish Federation. She loved being with friends, sailing on cruises, visits to Israel and touring national parks. Funeral services will be held at The Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64131 on Tuesday, November 8 at 12 noon. Burial to follow at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery.
