Lois M. Levitch Obituary (1938 - 2012)

Lois Myra Levitch, 74, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Funeral services will be at 2:3 0pm Wednesday, November 21, at The Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO with burial to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Kansas City Hospice or Kehilath Israel Synagogue’s Discretionary Fund. Lois was born in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy Cohen, was a lifelong area resident, attended Kansas City schools, graduating from Paseo High School, was a longtime member of Kehilath Israel Synagogue and worked at the Kansas City Jewish Chronicle for over 18 years. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 53 years, Marcus Levitch; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Lenna Levitch, of Overland Park, KS; her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Michael Passer, of Bloomfield Hills, MI; her four granddaughters: Demi & Mya Levitch and Rachel & Hannah Passer.
