Laurette P. Katz Obituary (1917

Laurette P. Katz, 92, of Leawood,KS, passed away Monday, October 12, 2009. Private family services. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests contributions to The Kansas City Hospice. Mrs. Katz was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Katz; a son, Mark Benjamin Katz; brother, Henry Present and her sister, Betty Present. Laurette was born in St.Louis, MO to Meyer and Lena Present. She volunteered at the Menorah Medical Center gift shop for over thirty years. She also had a passion for art and was an avid collector. Laurette was a gentle, kind and caring person who was loved by her family and all who knew her. The family would like to thank her wonderful caregivers at Village Shalom and those from The Kansas City Hospice. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Fred and Brenda Katz, her grandsons; Jeff and Kevin Katz and beloved dog Duke, all of Leawood.
