Larry A. Schanzer Obituary (2008)

Larry Schanzer, a lifelong resident of Kansas City, passed away June 13, 2008. He leaves his wife Bonnie of 27 years and two children, Lara 23 and Spencer 20. He also leaves two brothers, Jerry from Kansas City and Steve from Virginia. Larry Graduated from UMKC with a degree in Theater. He apprenticed at Andre’s before traveling to Switzerland to continue his training as a pastry chef. He opened and operated Napoleon Bakery for almost 25 years before being forced to close due to declining health. He loved the business and all the customers that frequented the Bakery. Thank you for you loyalty and for being a part of our extended family. Services will be held at The Louis Memorial Chapel on Sunday June 15th at 1:30pm followed by the burial at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kehilath Israel Synagogue, Crossroads Hospice, Cancer Action, American Cancer Society or any Cancer Research of one’s choice.
