Kathy’s joy in life was her beloved and adored children. She became a single parent early in her children’s school years, overcame many challenges and raised her children to be successful, independent, and caring adults. Kathy always enjoyed health and fitness. As a youth she competed in cheerleading, swimming, and softball. When her children were older she became an avid runner, biker and swimmer and competed in triathlons and half marathons.
Through her many life experiences and occupations, she displayed her love for others, especially seniors, children, and animals. She served by working or volunteering in schools, animal hospitals/clinics, and facilities for the elderly.
Family and friendships were very important to Kathy. She supported nieces and nephews by attending birthdays, celebrations, and sporting events. She leaves many cherished and life-long friends.
Kathy’s smile is shining in heaven and she is now in peace with her beloved savior.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to a non-euthanization animal shelter of your choosing such as Friends of the Friendless (fofanimalrescue.org) and Wayside Waifs (waysidewaifs.org).
