Julius Shoob Obituary (1924

Julius Shoob, age 86, of Overland Park, passed away on April 14, 2010 at Village Shalom, after a long illness. Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, April 16 at Rose Hill Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. The family suggests contributions to The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah, American Diabetes Association, Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care, or Village Shalom. Julius was a member of The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. The son of Jacob Shoob and Rosa Esterson, he was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, April 13, 1924. An accomplished tailor for most of his life, he immigrated to the United States in 1964 with his family. He worked for many years along side his wife, Rebeca, who died in 2002. He was also preceded in death by his sister Sonia Krisztal. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Roz and Fred Goodman; Leawood, KS; his son and daughter-in-law Richard and Dennette Shoob, Plano, TX; his grandchildren Jeff and Heather Goodman, Overland Park, KS; Brian and Candace Goodman, Costa Mesa, CA, and Michael Goodman, Overland Park, KS; great-grandchildren Jacob, Isabelle, and Cooper; his sister Ester Sirulnik, Buenos Aires, Argentina; his sister, Sara Elbaum, Israel; brother-in-law Ber Krisztal, Overland Park, KS; and his many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
