Joyce H. Halper, 79, passed away August 5, 2006. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, August 7, at The Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Avenue. Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery.Mrs. Halper graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia where she earned a BA. She was actively involved in volunteer work throughout her life. Mrs. Halper was a Life Member and Past President of the Kansas City Chapter of the National Council of Jewish Women and received its Hannah G. Solomon Award. She was also a regular volunteer at Children’s Mercy Hospital.Mrs. Halper was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Jack Halper. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law George and Carol Halper, and their children Greg and Julie, all of Overland Park, KS; and her brother: Gary Horwitz, Oklahoma City, OK.
