John Edwin Tull, Jr. Obituary (1938

John E. Tull, Jr. passed away from a sudden illness on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at St. Joseph Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 3:00pm Thursday, February 26, at The Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Avenue. Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Anthony Memorial Library Fund c/o The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah or a charity of the donor’s choice. Mr. Tull was a communications technician with AT&T for 42 years before his retirement. He graduated from East High School, attended Jackson Avenue Christian Church, was an avid Ham Radio Operator since age 10, had attained the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was born in Kansas City, MO, the son of John E. Tull, Sr. and Gladys F. (Heuszel) Tull. His father preceded him in death in 1973. Mr. Tull is survived by his wife: Terry Barewin Tull, of the home; mother: Gladys Tull, Eldorado Springs, MO; mother-in-law: Beatrice Weiss Barewin, Overland Park, KS; daughter: Rebecca Gibb, Buena Park, CA; sons: Mark and Chansophea Tull, Manassas, VA; Mihaly Bartalos, Black Mountain, NC; Kevin and Kim Bartalos, Kansas City, MO and Neil and Lilli Bartalos, Olathe, KS; sister and brother-in-law: Judy and Richard Pence, Independence, MO; grandchildren: Megan, Kayla and Tessa Bartalos; Erica and Ashley Gibb; Macon and Summer Bartalos; Adam and Mason Tull, Brianna and Braden Bartalos; Michael and Matthew Spero; Jeremy Delgado and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to thank the staff’s of St. Joseph Medical Centers ICU and Emergency Departments for their compassion and loving care. John will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
