JOHN I. GOODMAN Obituary (1946 - 2018) - Shawnee Mission, Kansas

John I. Goodman, 71 of Overland Park, KS passed away March 10, 2018. Graveside services and interment will be at 1:00pm Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 5529 Ditzler, Raytown, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either The New Reform Temple, Parkinson’s Foundation, the Jewish Community Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice. John was born November 8, 1946 in Kansas City, MO and was employed at the Kansas City Public Library for many years. John was a member of The New Reform Temple and also a former member of the Oakwood Country Club. John had an extraordinary knowledge and love for music, movies and different cultures and some would say he could have been a historian. He also enjoyed traveling and going on cruises with his family. John was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Goodman and Louis and Sylvia Manko. Survivors include his brother, David Goodman (Janis Rovick); his aunt, Helen Rae Cerier; his extended family, Rose and Jody Rovick and many cousins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Brookdale Clare Bridge and the Brookdale Hospice Staff.
