JEFFREY B. JOHL Obituary (1949 - 2016)

Jeff Johl, of Chicago, Illinois, died on February 10, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 12 noon Sunday, February 14 at Rose Hill Cemetery, 6900 Troost Avenue followed by burial. Kindly omit flowers. The family suggests that contributions be sent to a charity of your choice. Jeff was born on March 19, 1949 to the late Betty and Gus Johl in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Southwest High School and obtained a degree in psychology from UCLA. Until his retirement, Jeff was a member of the Chicago Board of Trade and traded in commodities. Jeff was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling when possible. He loved the time spent with his family, especially with his nephews: Brad (Cary) and Matt with whom he would argue about the Royals and Chiefs, and his great-nieces: Avery, Payton and Parker. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents: Betty and Gus Johl and his sister: Judy Johl. Jeff is survived by his brother: Justin and his wife Bev; cousins: Jerry and Ellen Wolf, Greg and Kelly Wolf, Margo and Gary G.R. O’Donnell, Beth and Bernie Johl and Janet and Andy Harmelin. The Johl family would also like to thank and express their gratitude to all of Jeff’s wonderful friends in Chicago, Shelley Husta, Bill Higgins, Willie and LuLu, Joe and Roselyn Lanzito and Cissy and Bill Greenspan. Jeff traveled his own path during his lifetime which made him so special. He was a wonderful brother and uncle and will be truly missed.
