JEANNE RABICOFF CHELIST Obituary (1920 - 2018)

Jeanne Rabicoff Chelist, 97, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Rose Estates Assisted Living. Funeral services will be 11:00am Sunday, March 25, 2018 at The Louis Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Sheffield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Ohev Sholom Synagogue or the charity of one’s choice. Mrs. Chelist was born October 18, 1920 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Charles and Sarah (Yukon) Kessler, was a lifelong area resident and was a former member of Ohev Sholom Synagogue. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Jack Schwartz, her second husband, Philip Rabicoff and her third husband, Aaron Chelist. her daughters Beverly Calvin and Cheri Seddon; a brother, Stanley Kessler and sisters, Eunice Studna, Ida Pierce, Lottie Zolotor and Gladys Cashion. Mrs. Chelist is survived by her children: Marcia (John) Glueck, Mike (Terri) Rabicoff, Samuel (Bonnie) Rabicoff and Phil (Cheri) Rabicoff; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Jeanne is also survived by her sisters, Yetta Pheffer and Betty Mittelman and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Rose Estates for the kind and thoughtful care.
