Janet Kogan

Janet Kogan, 80, of Overland Park, died Saturday, January 10, 2026. Funeral services will be graveside 11am, Monday, January 12, 2026 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 5529 Ditzler Ave, Raytown, MO 64133. Janet was born March 18, 1945 to the late Eddie and Marie Bell, in Prairie Village, KS. She married Melvyn Kogan in 1963 and was a lifelong Kansas City area resident.

Janet was an active member of Beth Shalom Synagogue and its Sisterhood, Hadassah and Brandies University Women. She was a loving mother and wife. She loved elephants, enjoyed attending plays, playing mahjong and traveling, especially trips to Branson and cruises with her husband.

She is survived by husband, Melvyn Kogan, son, Andy Kogan, and daughter, Lori Kogan.
