Jacqueline "Jackie" Yukon

Jacqueline "Jackie" Yukon, 88, of Shawnee, KS, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2008 at her home. Graveside services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, November 12 at Rose Hill Cemetery, 6900 Troost Avenue. The family suggests contributions to Hospice Care of Kansas, 15329 W. 95th St., Lenexa, KS 66219 or a charity of one’s choice. Jackie was a member of The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah and its Sisterhood and Hadassah. She was a graduate of Westport High School and attended Kansas City Junior College.
Jackie was born in Kansas City, MO and was a lifelong area resident. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Abbott A. Yukon, in 2006, her son, Gary Yukon,
in 1985, her sister, Reeva Stempleman, in 2007 and her brothers-in-law, Stanley Yukon, Gerald Yukon, Leon Bernstein and Joe Stempleman. Jackie is survived by her daughter
and son-in-law: Connie Yukon Gary and Pat Gary, Shawnee, KS; sisters-in-law: Maxine Yukon, Kansas City, MO and Shirley Bernstein, Overland Park, KS; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, “wonderful cousins” and “special friends” also survive.
