Heather Sandra Berger

Heather Sandra Berger was born January 5th, 1936 in Toronto, Canada and passed away peacefully at her residence in Bend, OR on September 25th, 2022. She was 86 years old.
Heather moved to Kansas City in the 1950’s where she worked as a flight attendant for TWA. Shortly thereafter, she met and married Jerome (Jerry) Berger.
Heather was a connoisseur of both ancient Chinese and contemporary art. Her passion for art drove her to earn a master’s degree in Chinese Art History and to dedicate 30 years of her life to the Nelson Atkins Museum as a docent.
Heather’s great beauty, intelligence, wit and charm earned her many wonderful friends with whom she would travel, play bridge, read books and just enjoy life to the fullest.
Heather was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Jerry and her son, David. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Berger-Milne and her husband, Ross of Bend, OR, her granddaughter, Bay Berger of Houston, TX and her very dear friend, Joe Karbank of Overland Park, KS.
Her service will be held at 10am on Friday, October 7th at Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to help with Alzheimer’s research.
