Frederic Herbert Sachs Obituary (2008)

Frederic H. Sachs, 73, of Overland Park, KS passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at KC Hospice House. Funeral services 11:30am, Wednesday May 14 at The Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Ave. Burial Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. The family suggests contributions to a charity of the donor’s choice. Mr. Sachs worked as a retail sales representative. He sold clothing at Michael’s for over 20 years. Mr. Sachs was a member of Kehilath Israel Synagogue and a former member of both Beth Shalom Synagogue and The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. He taught Sunday school at Beth Shalom. Mr. Sachs was a member of the ROMEOS. Mr. Sachs was born in Kansas City and remained a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Southwest High School. Mr. Sachs served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Betty Sachs and his wife of 28 years, Judy in 1986. Mr. Sachs is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Moshe and Michal Sachs, Spring Valley, NY, Steve and Sharon Sachs, Crowley, TX; grandchildren: Aaron, Rachel, Yossi and Chani; sister: Margie Dolginow, Olathe, KS; loving longtime companion: Barbara Koden. Nieces and nephews also survive.
