Freda L. Unell Obituary (2006) - Rancho Mirage, California

Freda L. Unell passed away Saturday, September 9, 2006 after a short illness and a long memorable life. The graveside service will be 1:00pm Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at Sheffield Cemetery. Freda was born on February 14, 1908 and lived in Kansas City until December 2005 when she resided near her daughter in Palm Desert, CA. She leaves her daughter Deanna and husband Norman Pearl, her son Stanton and wife Audrey Unell, granddaughter Stephanie and husband Steve Lazarian, grandson Brian and wife Crista Pearl, grandson Gary and wife Jenna Unell and grandson John Unell. She also leaves six great-grandchildren who will miss her greatly. Freda was active in the Menorah Auxiliary for many years. She also devoted her time to the U.J.A. At age sixty, she joined Avon and stayed on as an agent until she was eighty-nine. She was known for her staunch independence and her loving, caring and gentle ways.
