Florence Eleanor Kirschbaum Obituary (2006)

Florence Eleanor Kirschbaum, 83, of Prairie Village, KS, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2006 at Overland Park Nursing and Rehabilitation. Memorial services will be 2:00pm Sunday, November 19, at The Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Ave. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests contributions to Migrant Farmworkers Project, 920 SW Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64108 or Harvesters International. A life long area resident, Florence was a member of The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah and its Sisterhood, Hadassah and a charter member of Women in the Arts. She served on the Board of Directors of Brandeis Women. She was a graduate of UMKC in English. For many years, she worked as a travel agent and enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world. She is survived by Dr. George Kirshbaum, her husband of over 60 years; her two children: Susan Kirschbaum, Leawood, KS and Stephen Kirschbaum, Kansas City, MO; her niece: Sandra Wyly, Lake Lotawana, MO; nephew: John Fromson, St. John, MI as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
