FARAH IBRAHIM LAWI SHAOUL Obituary (1925 - 2018)

Farah Ibrahim Lawi Shaoul, 93, Kansas City/Overland Park, passed away August 24th, 2018. She spent her last days surrounded by family. Services will be held Sunday August 26th at 3pm at Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO followed by burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial contributions be made to HIAS and Beaks and Wings. Farah was born in Bagdad, Iraq where she lived boldly and independently as a Western woman well ahead of her time, until her family immigrated to Kansas City in the mid-1960s. She made Kansas City her home ever since. Farah worked as a seamstress at several local tailor shops and for private clients. Farah was passionate about her family, cooking and animals. Farah is survived by her two sons, Sabah and Sahran, both of Kansas City, and six grandchildren, Sarah, Charissa, Renessa, Amira, Trent and Shauna.
