Esther Eda Gallas

Esther E. Gallas, 89, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 at St. Joseph Medical Center. Funeral services will be 12:30pm Monday, March 26 at The Louis Memorial Chapel. Burial Kehilath Israel Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. The Family suggests contributions to The Alzheimer’s Association or a charity of the donor’s choice. Esther was a lifelong area resident graduating from Central High School. She had an extensive career in the travel industry and was an active community member. She was a member of Kehilath Israel Synagogue, Hadassah and the Jewish Community Center. Esther was a loving wife and was adored by her husband of 69 years, Bill and of course her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Esther was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph (Joe) and Blanche(Jerwick) Levine; brother: Louis Levine. She is survived by her husband Bill of the home; daughter: Janet Levenberg, Potomac, MD; son and daughter-in-law: Alan and Donna Gallas, Kansas City, MO; brother and sister-in-law: Abraham and Suzanne Levine, Overland Park, KS; sister: Zelda Cohen, Leawood, KS; grandchildren and their spouses: Brent Michael Dann (Julie), Alyse Dann Bodine (James), Rachael Danielle Gallas and Jessica Ashley Gallas; great-grandchildren: Lindsey Ava Dann and Ryan Asher Dann.
