Esther Adreme Markowitz Obituary (2006)

Esther Adreme Markowitz, 87, passed away quietly, Saturday, October 14, 2006. She was a long time resident of Kansas City but also spent twenty years in Hollywood, FL.Esther was a member of The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah and was very active in community life. She leaves behind her two loving daughters and a son-in-law: Sandra S. Butler, Foxton. CO, Gail and Don Johnson, Santa Rosa, CA; five grandchildren: Steven and Jeff Butler, Jason Markowsky, Lori Hertzfield and Matthew Ananos: seven great-grandchildren: Matthew, Daniel, Rachel, Louie, Melanie, Sophia and Roxanne; brother and sister- in-law Joe and Doris Posner, Overland Park, KS. Esther is survived by her loving companion: Harry Bornstein. She was preceded in death by daughter: Janice Adreme Katzberg; sister: Clara D. Silverstein. Esther will be sadly missed by her loving family and many friends. She shared her sense of humor and gregarious nature with all who knew her. Esther never met a stanger and welcomed all into her life.Funeral services will be Monday, October 16, 2006, 3:00pm at Louis Memorial Chapel, burial Rose Hill Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers. The family suggests that contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
