Mace Smith Obituary (1950 - 2013) - Independence, Missouri

Mace Smith passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 in Kansas City, MO surrounded by family and friends. Memorial Services will be at 3:30pm Sunday, December 8, at Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Avenue. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO 64145. Mace was born in West Plains, MO, graduated from Ruskin High School in Kansas City, MO in 1968 and earned a degree from Longview College. He worked for Western Electric as a mechanical engineer before becoming the owner of Fast Trax Automotive at 90th and Troost in Kansas City. He was a member of the Air Force Reserves in the 1970’s. Mace is survived by his wife Brenda; daughters: Chandra Hency and Shelby Massey; son: Michael Massey; grandson: Keyton Hency; and parents: Ed Smith and Betty Smith. Mace loved his family, his dog Sissy and his many friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
