Dennis Jay Partnoy Obituary (2007)

Dennis Jay Partnoy, 68, of Overland Park, KS and Naples, FL, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 16, 2007. Graveside services will be 12 noon Sunday, November 18, at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests contributions to The American Cancer Society or Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105. Denny was born on October 17, 1939 to David and Freda Partnoy in Kansas City, MO. He grew up in Kansas City, graduated from Southwest High School and attended the University of Kansas. On March 28, 1965, Denny and Michele Caviar were married in a ceremony at Beth Shalom Synagogue. Denny was the owner of Superior Window Shade, on 37th & Main St. in Kansas City, MO which was started by his father and mother in 1929. He and Michele lived in Overland Park until 1991, when they retired to Florida. The family vacationed regularly in Florida and the Lake of the Ozarks, where they had a second home. He especially enjoyed being with his immediate family. His children and grandchildren spent many joyous vacations together, the last a family trip to Disneyland in May. Denny will forever be remembered for his sense of humor and love of family. Denny is survived by his wife of 42 years, Michele Caviar Partnoy, Naples, FL; his daughter, Lisa Partnoy, San Francisco, CA; his son and daughter-in-law: Frank Partnoy and Laura Adams, San Diego, CA and their children Natasha and Zachary Partnoy. Also surviving Denny are his two sisters, Janice Roberts, Platteville, CO; Arlene Talman, Greeley, CO; his Uncle Harry Partnoy, Kansas City, MO and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Partnoy, in 1976 and his mother, Freda Partnoy, in 1982.
