Charlotte Gumowitz Obituary (2007) - Prairie Village, Kansas

Charlotte Gumowitz, 87, of Prairie Village, KS, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at her home. Graveside services will be 1:00pm Friday, December 7, at Rose Hill Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers, the family suggests contributions to The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah or a charity of one’s choice. Mrs. Gumowitz was a member of The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. As a teenager, she danced for one year with the Radio City Rockettes in New York City, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Joseph Gumowitz, in 1992 and her brother, Melvin Lipsitz. Mrs. Gumowitz is survived by her son: Keith Gumowitz, Prairie Village, KS; daughters and sons-in-law: Ronna Kae and Larry Nussbaum, Prairie Village, KS; Lecy and Galen Callender, Littleton, CO; grandchildren: Jered and Corey Nussbaum, Ashlyn and Daniel Gorlin, Jennifer Nussbaum, Alex Nussbaum, Kate Gumowitz, Molly Callender, Emily Callender and a great-grandson: Nitai Gorlin. Mrs. Gumowitz will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
