CARL R. HYKEN Carl R. Hyken, 85, of Mission, KS, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2006. Graveside services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, March 21, at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers, family suggests contributions to Grace Hospice, American Heart Association or American Cancer Society. Mr. Hyken was in Commercial Real Estate for over 60 years and owned and operated Carl R. Hyken Realty. He was a former member of Kehilath Israel Synagogue. Mr. Hyken was active in the Kansas-Missouri Real Estate Communities. He was a U.S. Army veteran, served in the Battle of the Bulge and received the Bronze Star. Mr. Hyken was the youngest of four brothers. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sherry Gregory Hyken, of the home; daughter and son-in-law: Beverly Rae and Dr. Norman Burk, Prairie Village, KS; grandchildren: Ronald and Debbie Burk, Prairie Village, KS; Steve and Amy Burk, Bozeman, MT; and 3 great-grandchildren.
