CAMILLE FISHER Obituary (1926 - 2016)

Beloved wife and mother, Camille Fisher, 90 of Overland Park, KS passed away peacefully in her home on December 3, 2016. Funeral service will be 11:00am Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Louis Memorial Chapel, 6830 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Camille was born in Detroit, MI to Charles and Claire Wood. After graduating high school, she attended Wayne State University obtaining her undergraduate and graduate degrees in psychiatry and social work which she did for approximately 10 years after graduating. Camille moved to Kansas City in the 60’s after marrying Harvey Fisher. Camille set aside her profession and concentrated on raising their son Steve in 1970. Camille attended The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah and the Temple Beth El. She enjoyed a variety of crafts especially making decorative table pieces for special events. Camille also loved to ice skate and tap dance and enjoyed entertaining with her family at special events. Camille was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lorraine Rose. Survivors include her husband, Harvey Fisher, of the home; son, Steve Fisher and wife Therese of Overland Park, KS; sister, Vallada Yezbick of Waterford, MI and grandchildren, Charissa Fisher with fiancé Jeff, Courtney Fisher with fiancé David and Tiffany Seymour with husband Chad. Camille will be greatly missed by her family and friends. The memories of her will be cherished forever.
