Bruce Levens

On Sunday, January 17, 2021, Bruce Levens, passed away at the age of 70.
Bruce was born on July 24, 1950 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Vrem and Gale (Fogel) Levens. He received his bachelor’s degree from Rockhurst University and worked as a computer programmer in Kansas City. He married Kathrine Arnett and together they raised two children, Emmy and Joseph.

A musician, mathematician, father, friend, and lifelong clown, Bruce had a passion for life. He did nothing by half measures – he loved fully, prayed devoutly, and was, at all times, his true self.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Vrem; his mother, Gale; and his step-mother, Esther. He is survived by his children, Emmy and Joseph; his former wife, Katy; his sister, Lori; and his three grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Mt. Carmel cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Jewish Family Services of Greater Kansas City.
