Brita B. Horowitz Obituary (1936 - 2022)

Brita Horowitz, 85, Overland Park, KS, a retired social worker, died on April 15, 2022. Brita was born in Stockholm, Sweden and moved to the U.S. in 1954 to study. She was married for 30 years to Herbert Horowitz who preceded her in death. She was a member and volunteer at Temple B’nai Jehudah, a K.C. Symphony patron for 60 years and participated in many arts and cultural events. Survivors include her son Daniel M. Horowitz (Marianne), Overland Park, daughter Lisa B. Horowitz (Maura Roche), Portland, OR, sister Eva Cummings (Bill), Fairway, Ks and three grandchildren, one great grandson and two nieces. Funeral services will be 2:30pm Monday, April 18, 2022 at the Louis Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family suggests donations to any Kansas City Arts organization.
