Berry L. Bird Obituary (1925

Berry L. Bird of Leawood, KS, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the Kansas City Hospice House. The family will hold a celebration of his life from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Huntington Farms Clubhouse, 11100 El Monte (just east of Roe off College Blvd.), Leawood, KS 66211. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory should be to Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO 64145. Berry was a great husband, father and friend. He was an avid golfer and an enthusiastic member of Wolf Creek Golf Club. He was beloved by many friends and family. Berry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Martha Bird; his children: Jana Nye and her husband Mike; Kerry Welsh and her husband John and Harold “Skip” Bird and his wife Laurie; his eight grandchildren: Brian Nye and his wife Lauren; Brent Nye; Berry Welsh and his wife Emily; Scott and Megan Welsh; Betsy, Will and Maddy Bird. Berry received great care & love his last days at Kansas City Hospice House.
