BERNARD ISADORE PENNER Obituary (1931 - 2017)

Bernard I. Penner 85, of Kansas City, Missouri died on February 18, 2017. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:30pm Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Sheffield Cemetery, 6200 Wilson Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64123. Shiva services will be held at Village Shalom located at 5500 W 123rd St, Overland Park, KS 66209 at 6:00pm Sunday, February 19, 2017. Bernard was born December 12, 1931 to the late Joseph and Edith Penner in Kansas City, MO. He went to Frances Willard Elementary School and graduated from Paseo High School in June 1949. He served in the military as a Staff Sargent, USA Air Force and received an Honorable Discharge October 1954. He graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City with a Bachelor of Arts in History & Government in 1958. He was a lifelong Kansas City area resident. Bernard was an Administrator for the KCMO Fire Department. He is survived by his sister Marlene Molos, nephew Mark Molos (Diane Kelly), niece Shelly Kingsberg (Cary Kingsberg) as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. Caregiver’s included Carol Dale of Seniors Helping Seniors as well as Heartland Hospice Care.
