Barbara Lee Enslein

Barbara Lee Enslein, 81. of Prairie Village, KS, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Kansas City Hospice House. Funeral services will be at 12 noon Thursday, August 11, at The Louis Memorial Chapel. Burial to follow at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers; the family suggests contributions to The Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City, Kansas City Hospice House or a charity of the donor’s choice.
Barbara was born in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Louis and Clara Planzer. She was a lifelong area resident, attending Paseo High School and Kansas City University. Barbara was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially with her granddaughters, with whom she had a very loving and special relationship. Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Leonard Enslein, in 1984 and her parents. Barbara is survived by her sons: Jerald Enslein and his partner, Hannah Harris, Overland Park, KS; and
Marty Enslein, Overland Park, KS; granddaughters: Alana Enslein and Lenni Enslein, both of Overland Park, KS; The family would like to thank the Kansas City Hospice House staff, especially Julie Dreesman and Ryan Wheelan, for their attention to her comfort.
