Anne Eisenberg

Anne Gabel Eisenberg, 85, passed away on October 10, 2007 at Menorah Medical Center. Anne was born May 23, 1922 to Philip and Fanny Gabel. She and her mother were taken home from the hospital after her birth in her father’s horse drawn wagon. Throughout her school years she worked in her father’s family grocery store and appeared in musicals at Central High School, where she graduated. Mrs. Eisenberg had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She belonged to many organizations and social clubs. She was a former member of Kehilath Israel Synagogue. She loved to play mah jong and bowled for many years in several leagues. Mrs. Eisenberg was involved in several business ventures with her husband throughout the years. Mrs. Eisenberg worked in retail until she was 81 years of age. She was preceded in death by Yale Eisenberg, her husband of 45 years, her parents, her sister, Irene Rubin, and brother Isadore Gabel. She leaves behind three sons. Barry and wife Betty of Dallas, TX, Sheldon and Ronald both of Overland Park, KS, along with grandchildren Stacy, Toby and wife Suzy, Katie and husband Ian, Jessica and husband Jason, Nicholas, and Liam and great-grandchildren Michaela, Nathan, Audrey, Luke, and Danielle.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. October 12, 2007, at Sheffield Cemetery, Section 9, Lot 225.
